Mistletoe

All photos by Bob Thomas, taken at Hato El Cedral, Apure, Venezuela, in June 1991.

The plant (upper) is very dense and has showy flowers.  The  very sticky seed (center) sticks to the bills of birds. A new plant (bottom) grows from a seed scraped off a bird’s beak on the limb.
